Support and cushioning
Playing football involves a lot of high impact movements like jumping, cutting, landing and running, which all place a lot of pressure on the feet. Biomechanical imbalances (e.g. excess pronation) add to the risk of injury.
Common football injuries include Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendonitis, Shin Splints and knee injuries like Patello-femoral syndrome.
To prevent injury, stretching and strengthening programs are important. In addition, foot orthotics to correct biomechanical imbalances allow the player to perform better and mimimise the risk of injury. Unlike running shoes, football boots don’t have any in-built support or cushioning, and it’s difficult to fit arch supports or custom orthotics inside the shoe.
Footlogics Football was developed by sports podiatrists to re-align the feet and correct over-pronation. The insole provides both support and cushioning, thereby substantially increasing the player’s comfort level. Its narrow design and low arch profile creates a perfect fit inside the boot without cramping the feet. Footlogics Football can help relieve and prevent foot complaints including Sever’s Disease - a very common type of heel pain in boys and girls. The insole is suitable for football, rugby and hockey cleats, but can also be used for cycling and athletics (e.g. track and field).
